Go On Adventures in the 2024 Toyota Tacoma

The Toyota Tacoma has been on the market for almost two decades, and the next edition is here with new innovations and capabilities to bring it to the next level so you’re ready for every adventure. Designed and engineered in the United States, the Tacoma comes with a high-strength frame and many different features to be used by those looking to go off-roading. Discover what makes the all-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma a great choice for your next truck.

Design & Capability

The main design goal for the new Tacoma was to focus on optimizing it for outdoor adventures and gave it a high lift with big tires and an athletic body. The enhanced off-roading capabilities make it possible to drive in a variety of environments from rock crawling to high-speed desert racing. It also includes signature design elements such as high-mount headlamps, side functional air intakes, tailgate spoilers, and more.

There are many different design features that make the Tacoma a highly capable truck that’s ready for any journey. The chassis is made with high-strength steel and laser welds with aluminum in the upper body to reduce weight. Integrated attachment holes are added to the roof on all models so roof rack rails can easily be added, and a high lift jack point is integrated into the rear frame. It has a maximum towing capacity of 6,500 lbs. with an increase of 1,709 lbs. for the TRD Off-Road grade. Other supporting towing features include a trailer brake controller, trailer backup guide, and blind spot monitor. The new Tacoma will also offer two powertrains with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 228-278 horsepower depending on the grade.

Adventuring Features

To optimize for outdoor adventuring, there are several features that make the Tacoma a highly capable off-roading machine. The front stabilizer can disconnect with the push of a button to increase articulation and running ground clearance that maxes out at 11 inches. It also comes with multiple cameras to spot potential obstacles. The Tacoma also has a new, quieter CRAWL function that acts as off-road cruise control that allows you to maintain focus on steering without having to worry about maintaining speed. The Downhill Assist Control also helps with maintaining control by assisting with navigating tougher descents.
